Since the early 1990s, the demand for air freight transportation has increased significantly. Cargo import and export activities via air transportation have significantly contributed to the growth of the Vietnam economy.
On December 15, 1994, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines), Singapore Airport Terminal Services Ltd. (SATS) and Southern Airports Services Company Limited (SASCO) established a joint-venture entity, named Tan Son Nhat Cargo Services Company Limited (TCS), to build and operate the first international air cargo terminal in Ho Chi Minh City.
On January 1, 1997, TCS inaugurated Air Freight Terminal 1 (AFT1) to provide professional international air cargo handling services to the airlines operating into Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
After two decades of establishment and development, TCS has become a key and well-recognized air cargo terminal operator in Vietnam. Currently, TCS is handling 35 international airlines and hundreds of forwarding agents in Ho Chi Minh City. The company thrives to continue to innovate and improve service quality. Looking forward, TCS team will continue to work hard and venture into other areas to improve the service chain for its customers. Ultimately, TCS hopes to be able to contribute to the development of the industry as well as give back to the society.
